With a diverse background that includes increasingly senior leadership roles with some of Canada’s largest MarTech-driven media companies, plus experience in sales, fundraising, and board management with several non-profit organizations, Ruth brings a multifaceted approach to her writing and editing practice.
Ruth cut her teeth in magazine publishing with Rogers Media over 15 years ago, and quickly moved up the ranks to become a respected leader in Canada’s marketing communications sector. She has led sales-driven Account Management teams focused on omni-channel marketing, and has been responsible for building strategies and multi-million-dollar media executions for a variety of well-known brands, including Aimia/Aeroplan, BMO, Disney, P&G, Pepsico, QTG Canada, Rogers Media, TC Transcontinental, and Scholastic Canada.
Ruth holds a Master of Arts degree from Western University, and has completed a dozen courses with the University of Toronto, Ryerson University, and the Toronto New School of Writing, exploring poetry and prose writing, narrative and language use, and the practice of copy editing.
